EMERGENCY FIRST AID -  Often enough, it is prompt and appropriate care  that makes all the difference between an excellent outcome versus a poor result.   Especially with leg  wounds or post surgery sites,  clean bandage changes are  important for proper healing.

In an Emergency, having all the proper supplies organized and ready can make the job easier and lead to a better outcome.   With that in mind, bandaging-wound care became our first kit.  Other ideas and suggestions followed (hoof abscess kit, foaling kit), which became our standard kits.  As you and your veterinarian may have specific preferences, you may purchase just the items you want.  In effect, you may 'Build Your own Kit' .

Whether it's in the saddlebag, tack trunk, horse trailer or behind the seat of the truck, your equine emergency-first aid kit is good insurance for you and your horse.
